SOOOO LUSTWORTHY: CHLOE THREE CHAIN SHOULDER BAG

www - my wonderful friend, stephanie scott of 3lab brought my attention to this sumptuos bag. its one of chloe's latest creations and features a killer combination of rich leather and glossy gold hardware. and at a price point of $1, 695, you won't have to work all year to save up for it ( a good four months should do.) i heart this bag and am willing to let you buy it for me. seriously, i won't stop you. stephanie, thanks for spottting this fierce buy!

IF YOU LOVE ME, YOU WILL BUY ME THE NEW CHANEL FISHING ROD SET

www - faithful readers of my blog know about my chanel habit (currently saving my coins to get my next pair of ballet flats, plus a bag for the spring). i am looking forward to mommyhood for the sole purpose of carrying a chanel diaper bag. and now, i may have to take up fly fishing, because karl lagerfeld and his team at chanel have graciously designed a new fishing rod for fashionistas who like to catch trout in their spare time. this inspired me to look up other uber-luxrious-if-not-necessary-chanel-goodies. enjoy this feast for the eyes.....(times like these, i am tempted to become an escort to raise more capital...)

JUST WONDERING...ARE THE P.R GIRLS AT HERVE LEGER MAD AT HOW THESE DRESSES ARE BEING WORN...?

usa - i like foxy and keyshia cole. but something tells me they are not wearing these rose colored herve leger dresses with style and grace. i am sure they had every intention of oozing sex and on-trend appeal. but those high hopes seemed to have been lost in translation...what sayeth thou?

IS CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S LOOK A CRIME AGAINST FASHION?

london - well that's how bloggers seem to be treating it. the pop singer wore it to the africa rising event in london earlier this week. its not exactly the best look christina has worn down the red carpet. but then again, what is? she always seems over done and tranny-ish. she reminds me of a baby-cher, circa 1996. i agree that its a fugly look, but for aguilera, its normal.

FOR THE RECORD: I LIKE BEYONCE'S TRL LOOK

new york - its getting lots of mixed reviews from blogs. i think its edgy and flattering - and fits seamlessly with the look she's promoting for her new album.

P.S IS THE DRESS UGLY!?: A LOT OF FOLKS ONLINE SEEM TO THINK SO

connecticut- a special thank you to my little sister zeba, for coming along and taking photos of the event. she shared a few with her friends on her live journal page. i was expecting compliments, but talk about dashed hopes. almost every one who commented found the dress to be incredibly ugly. i still love it. it is an iridescent purple nicole miller fall 2008 dress which i paired with black tights and high patent leather wedge open-toe heels. i loved the look. but do you hate it?

PHOTOS FROM MY SPEECH AT QUINNIPIAC UNIVERSITY

DID YOU KNOW THAT DOLCE & GABBANA AND MARIMEKKO WERE FEUDING?

italy - boy is that news to me. apparently, dolce & gabbana began using a red flower pattern in their merchandise similar to one trademarked by marimekko. the poppy pattern is called unikko. the finnish textile company clearly plays no games when it comes to their sought after patterns and promptly sued d&g. now the case has been settled out of court and d&g has agreed to pay the appropriate fees.

DRAMA WITH LVMH NEW DEVELOPMENT: LA SAMARITAINE

paris - is it just me or does lvmh own a whole lot of businesses and properties. i mean, i understand that that's the whole point of being a conglomerate, but still. lvmh owns a 26,000 square foot retail complex in paris called la samaritaine. (please don't give me the side eye if this is general knowledge. one can only know but so much.) in any case, lvmh wants to redevelop the space into a mixed use property including retail, food, apartments and a hotel. the french government has blocked their hopes, because they'd like to add a social housing component (read: poor people) to the mix, which we can all be sure lvmh is not happy with. this has put the company's plans to reopen the space by 2013 on hold. stay tuned..

Lauren Conrad at L.A. Fashion Week

l.a. - somehow lauren conrad has managed to finagle a career as a supposed fashion designer out of her stints on reality television. recently, she debuted her s/s 09 line at l.a. fashion week, to mixed reviews. the line is a hodge podge of simple white cocktail dresses, printed party dresses, and high-waisted shorts and skirts. in other words: things one would find in lauren's closet, or on a rack at charlotte russe at the very least. or am i being too harsh? here are a few examples of the line, what do you think?

you can see the entire line here

new york - i just spotted this on perez hilton's webiste: cosmo girl, the bible for stylish and intelligent teens is folding. i literally cannot imagine this to be true. but one never knows. according to perez, the staff was told that the mag is shutting down earlier today. media is so volatile right now. i swear there's more job security in stripping.

LETS PLEASE GET INTO THESE CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN TSUNAMI'S

A VERY HEALTHY ALTERNATIVE TO AMERICAN APPARREL LEGGINGS

www - maybe, this post is exclusively for people like me whose entire wardrobe consists of leggins, tees, and cardigans from american apparel. its not that i love the brand. instead its that i appreciate easy comfort and sultry silhouettes but can't -yet- pony up the cash or more adult lines like norma kamali and donna karan, who work in a much more sophisticated way with jersey. but i digress...my point is, there's another lovely line that is now giving legging lovers like myself options. can you guess which one? members only! i know - i thought the same thing you are thinking. its not just about their bomber jackets any more (which are back on the market.) now its about their poured on liquid leggings and sexy velour leggings. celebs like rihanna, nikki hilton and fergie are already fans. the genius behind the revived interest is former fashion editor kelli delaney who left the editorial world (she was fashion editor at mags like allure, us weekly and glamour) to be creative director of the brand. she's done good. i love this stuff. log on to http://www.membersonlystyle.com/ to see more merch.
