although the gap declined to give specific details on the number of job cutbacks, womens wear daily reports, that there have been " round of layoffs which are happening in waves, domestically and internationally." neither you nor i are retail gurus, but we could have called this with a quick look at the uninspired clothing at our local gap store. i really used to love this store. this is like watching a close friend fall off.
