blaynistas please be ware that we are in the midst of emilio pucci's 60th anniversary. for the past several decades those who were unafraid of color and boldly dared to go with fabrics where others wouldn't have found a svengali, fashion figure, and haven in pucci's vivid hues and bold prints. but of course, you knew this. but what you didn't know (trust me!) is that el pucci was also an accomplished athlete who excelled in sports, a pilot who enlisted in world war two and a globe traveler. they just don't make fashion designers like this anymore...
