GAP CHOOSING A NEW CEO

paul pressler, gap's former ceo, who stepped down in january. (cbc.ca.)

remember that catchy slogan from old gap commercials, "fall into the gap?" well it looks like the retailer has been taking it's own advice and falling off -waaay off - into the gap of non-relevant, over-priced casual wear. with fresh, affordable options like uniqlo, target and h+m, shoppers have been ignoring the san-francisco based chain. to lure them back, they have tried a series of ad new ad campaigns, guest designers, and have recently hired patrick robinson as a creative guru. now they are heading straight to the top by looking for a new ceo, according to wwd.com. the search is already underway and has been narrowed to a handful of candidates. stay tuned for who will be selected.
