beauty conglomerate, proctor & gamble is launching a new ad campaign to "improve (the) portrayal of african-american women," says wgsn.com. the campaign is called "my black is beautiful" program and brands like crest, secret, tampax, and cover girl queen collection will be participating in it. the campaign was launched after the results of poll p&g conducted essence magazine were launched. in it, 77% of the black women polled said they were portrayed badly in the media. while 69% of teenagers polled said they were influenced negatively by images in the media.
