westwood was recently given the outstanding achievement in fashion design award by the british fashion council.

brazil -- i can't say i've heard much about the brand "melissa" before. but apparently, they are sort of a big deal. they seem to originally be from brazil, and have enjoyed collaborations with designers like alexandre herchcovith (love him!) isabela capeto and karim rashid. now, they can add vivienne westwood to that list. the acclaimed london designer is visiting brazil in january to launch two new shoe styles for the brand.
