worldwide - are you surprised? i'm not. just a bit confused as to why it even took so long for richie to start this. she graduated from the paris hilton school of brand extention, so naturally i expected her to announce this collaboration as soon as her pregnancy was announced. either way - i imagine this being a success. there aren't a whole lot of chic maternity lines around (not to say there are non, pea in a pod is one great company that comes to mind!) let a lone one targeted at young mothers, so there's definitely a market here for this. in an interview with asian news international, richie said, "my line will be about making women look and feel good at a really emotional time. it's about showing your best self, not your tired, worn-down self." i want to be spicy and sarcastic about this, but i'm actually excited to see what she comes up with. stay tuned for details as they develop.
