miami - first of all, yes, I'm still here. flight got cancelled and not able to leave miami till tuesday. alas, I'm not complaining. so, now on to the matter at hand: wet willies in miami! please, I beg, comment if you've been before. its a miami institution and a national treasure. Its legendary for its slushy liquor drinks,the most famous being the call a cab. there are over a dozen other flavors, my fave being mango, white russian and pina colada. that's actually exactly what you are looking at in the pic. I'm sipping on it as I blog at 2 in the morning...a cancelled flight has never felt this good....

london - oh to have been one of the lucky few! yasmin lebon, zandra rhodes, jazmine guiness et al gathered at lanvin's luxury mayfair flagship the other night for a presentation to beat all presentations: lanvins spring/summer 2009 collection, personally curated by alber elbaz. the presentation also included equally fab male fashionistas like juergen teller, jefferson hack and stephen jones. it sounds like a beautiful congregation of creative minds who can fully appreciate what lanvin is about and have the purchase power to boot...elbaz is $mart!

fort lauterdale - flight cancelled, next flight delayed, very hungry, slightly tired. the only highlight? this phenomenal louis vuiton diaper bag. I spotted a couple at my gate with two beautiful kids carrying this bag. as a devoted chanelista, vuitton is not my traditional first choice, but I found this rich brown monogrammed situation to be brilliant. no matter how much you stuff into it, you'll never look sloppy, just poised and put together.

miami- yeah, I know that picture is dodgy, but aren't they all!? so, what you are looking at is pamela anderson and richie rich at the fountaine bleu hotel in miami. they are here for richie rich's debut in rock fashion. the fifteen minute press conference was....comical, cute and ummmm....a touch confusing. between giggles and posing and reminiscing, they let us all in to the real reason for the conference: announcing rich's new clothing line with anderson called muse. no clear details on where, when or why it will debut, but it promises to be as quirky - or crazy - as the duo behind it. by the way, I liivvveedd for anderson's continuous disclosure that she "prefer(s) to be naked!"

Revealed- Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld caught in the streets of Milan. According to WWD, the fashion muse of the moment is the editor-in-chief of French Vogue Carine Roitfeld. Actually Mme Roitfeld is an excellent example of chic French personal style that follows the golden rule of French chic: "Keep It Simple." paris - the historic leather luxury house loewe has never really resonated with me...until now. the looks that stalked down their runway were simply incredible. according to sarah mower's review on style.com, the collection was borderline tacky...or vulger to be precise. but i found it bold, sexy and very future forward. thoughts?

paris - this was definitely hard. the entire collection felt like outtakes from a chanel show. almost like what lagerfeld would design if you were to let him loose. it was hard for me to find any that i really loved, but if i had to pick, the above are it.

www - it's funny how news trickles down. as i was researching this tidbit, i discovered that it was announced as far back as january 18th by blackbookmag.com that netaporter.com is launching a new online outlet called outnet.com. i'm just finding out now. the site is set to stock brands we love like alberta ferretti, chloe, louboutin, and dvf at 40 to 60% less than normal retail price. as cute as this sounds, i'm thinking it will definitely undermine netaporter.com. what are your thoughts?

australia - pacific brands, one of the largest clothing companies in australia, has pulled out of the l'oreal melbourne fashion festival with no explanation. pb, which was set to sponsor two fashion shows as well as a mobile bra fitting, still plans sponsoring the festival which is set to cost appx $100,000. the company has been getting increasingly negative press of late because of its decision to cut 1850 jobs and move production to where else....china.

MADONNA TO LAUNCH A SECOND CLOTHING LINE
usa - i know, it took me a second to think about what her first clothing line was...m by madonna for h&m. now the pop icon is making plans to launch her second line with christian audigier of the tattoo printed tees and jeans. according to the daily mirror, audigier offered madonna a six figure deal to deliver her own range of tops and jeans. i'm personally not a fan of audigier's collection. it seems like the man has more stacks than style to burn and something tells me madonna is doing it all for the coins.
