nationwide - V magazine's fall issue will be published in fourteen different covers, shot by legendary photographers inez van lamsweerde and vinoodh matadin. the cover girls include christy turlington, naomi campbell, eva herzigova, agyness deyn, daria werbowy, and natasha poly, just to name a few. the issue hits stands this thursday.

Off The Runway: Models Out and About

new york - we watch them sashay up and down the runways in fabulous designs by some of the biggest designers today during fashion week, but does that fabulosity translate to everyday? here are model heavyweights chanel iman, isabella fontana, and jessica stam outside the Bryant Park tents this week. what do you think? personally, i'd like to take chanel down to the the local all-you-can-eat buffet for a few hours.

WHAT I WAS GIVING YESTERDAY AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

new york - morning cuties! it was much of the same in terms of silohuette. i am giving you legging again (this time denim inspired ones) with a special t-shirt i got from a market appointment. it was designed by thakoon for target (will be out in stores soon). i have on my martin and osa cashmere and my chanel tote. i took this not far from bloomingdales where i went to cover nigel barker from antm's latest project.

new york - so i've seen these photos on the blogosphere and more often than not, they come along with snide comments and remarks about how fugly these looks are. but me personally, i love what solange, far left, and lil mama are giving. am i country? let me know something...

WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF FASHION? BAND OF OUTSIDERS GIVES US A GLIMPSE

new york - soooo it's not that i'm a country bama who has never seen the inside of an art gallery. it's not that i've never witnessed a screen projector or art installation of anything of the sort. but seeing this in lieu of a fashion show? well that's news to me. that's also exactly what band of outsiders presented on saturday during their spring 2009 presentation. instead of the standard runway stroll, the opted to have just two models: actor max minghella and actress kiersten dunst wear their entire collection on video. this was then edited and looped for editors at milk studios in the meat packing district. to complement the installation pieces from the collection were right there on display for all the editors to see, ,touch and experience. i loved it. this should be the future and direction of presentations. check out the photos and my interview with max online at papermag.com.

new yourk (don't you love my spelling....? it's like the city is yours. but i digress....) - so i am trying to really incorporate more video into this blog cause everyone says vloging is where its at . please be advised that my initial video posts have been/are/will be super dodgy. but i'll get better with time. so here is video from the tracy reese show. don't know how much you can see, but at least you get the point. tracy is a very much loved and respected designer in new york and beyond, so it's worth taking a look at. shout out to her sister in law who i met after the show. super sweet and beautiful
