in case you, lvmh and ppr (the last two are fierce fashion conglomorates, the first is you dear reader) got it twisted: bulgari is not selling. the family owned company's chief executive, francesco trapani, made that point more than clear in a recent interview with il sole daily, an italian newspaper. in the article he said, "the family is not selling. they have repeated several times and the situation has not changed." but does he protest too much? i won't be surprised if we hear something about a take over in the near future....
