LINDSAY LOHAN IS A MUSE BUT WE’RE NOT AMUSED

The Ungaro “artistic advisor” lands Muse cover, accompanied with an 18-page spread inspired by Johnny Depp and Kate Moss’s relationship.

magazine shows their fascination with tabloid fodder Lindsay Lohan as she is the latest Muse covergirl. The starlet wears an unzipped jacket with “Lindsay Exposed” headline strategically placed over her breast. The cover and the 18-page spread inspired by Johnny Depp and Kate Moss’s relationshipwas shot by Yu Tsai. Lindsay plays Kate and model Petey Wright plays Johnny. Dancer Sofia Boutella was also brought into bed with them for the shoot. "The three of them were very sensual and provocative, but Lindsay understands this piece was created not for any sensational value other than artistic integrity," Tsai said to New York Post Page Six. “There was never a discussion about pushing the boundaries. She was totally comfortable with the nudity as long as it had artistic integrity.” Tsai, who are you kidding? Lindsay no longer knows what "artistic integrity" means.

The photographer also added, "When you see her nipple, it just happened in the moment. She was playing the role of Kate Moss — you're at a party and you are with a guy you really love and another girl." And according to her Twitter, Lindsay and her 15-year-old sister Ali could also appear in Purple’s next issue shot by Terry Richardson. Oh boy!

TWITTER THIS: VOGUE ITALIA’S 2009 DECEMBER ISSUE

For their last issue of the decade the magazine takes on Twitter.


Italy - Vogue Italia is known for their creativeness but are you feeling the December 2009 issue, Blaynistas? The cover features models Lara Stone, Natalia Vodianova, Christy Turlington, Gisele Bundchen and Kasia Struss and includes more models in the accompanying editorial. The issue is “a tongue in cheek send up of Twitter, social media and the perils of online exposure.” While fashion photographer Steven Meisel came up with the Twitter concept, word is that all the models photographed themselves for the magazine. Future trending topic?

LADY GAGA IS ELLE’s JAN. COVERGIRL

Elle features Lady Gaga on their cover and surprise! She's not wearing an orbit costume.

World Wide Web – Lady Gaga is featured in January’s Elle without a single bizzaro costume (we have a feeling creative director, Joe Zee, had something to do with this). In the issue, on newsstands next week, Gaga gets candid about her days of being a waitress, her icon status, and dreams of being married and having babies one day for her father to hold.

On being a waitress: I was really good at it. I always got big tips. I always wore heels to work! I told everybody stories, and for customers on dates, I kept it romantic. It’s kind of like performing.

On a recurring theme in her work: I feel that if I can show my demise artistically to the public, I can somehow cure my own legend. I can show you so you’re not looking for it. I’m dying for you on domestic television—here’s what it looks like, so no one has to wonder.

On being a mom: In eight to 10 years, I want to have babies for my Dad to hold, grandkids.

We definitely can imagine Gaga as a waitress (insert funny anecdote about zoo chimps, pasties with tassles, and Sonic’s skates with firecrackers attached to them while waitressing), but let’s hope she waits that long to have kids. [Story and Image by Elle]

W PHOTOSHOPPED DEMI MOORE'S HEAD ONTO ANJA RUBIK'S BODY?

Conspiracy theorists on blogs suggest that the magazine Photoshopped Moore's head onto Rubik's body for their December cover.

World Wide Web - Ever since W's December issue featuring 47-year-old actress Demi Moore on the cover hit the internet many wondered why was Demi's left hip cut in farther than her left thigh and why the lack of wrinkles on the face or body. Another case of Photoshop gone wrong, right? Well last week W representatives told Jezebel that they "did not do anything unusual or out of the ordinary on Demi Moore for the photo on the cover of W." But now conspiracy theorists on blogs Oh No They Didn't and Pop Culture Madness suggest that the magazine Photoshopped Demi's head onto the body of model Anja Rubik taken from an image of Anja walking the runway in the spring 2010 Balmain show. Crazy speculation, right? When you have the W December cover placed next to the shot of Anja in the Balmain show it's hard not to believe the conspiracy theorists, but there are differences between the two images that can dispute the speculation. For example Demi's arms are touching her legs, while Anja's arms are swinging away from her body. Another example is Anja's neck looks strained than Demi's neck and that's because Anja is walking and Demi is standing still. My verdict is that Demi sure was extremely Photoshopped but I believe that's her body and not Anja's. What do you think, Blaynistas? [Story/Image: The Cut]

LEIGHTON MEESTER COVERS UK GLAMOUR

Meester sports 60’s big hair and animal print on the issue, and thinks she’s prettier without makeup.

London – Gossip Girl actress and recent Blay Report post, Leighton Meester sits pretty for the December issue of UK Glamour. Shot by Robert Erdmann, Leighton wears D&G and a zigzag print dress by Matthew Williamson in the issue and professes her love for the work she has done so far in her career:

“I’m proud of the work that I’ve done. I don’t care what people label me as. If they want to say I’m an actress, and I should never sing, that’s fine. If they know me for my music, because they don’t watch my show or my movies, that’s fine, too. I’m doing what I want with my life. I just do…me”.

CATE BLANCHETT STANDS TALL FOR VOGUE

The Oscar-winning actress is featured on the cover of Vogue US for the December 2009 issue.

World Wide Web - Now this is the kind of actresses I like to see on magazine covers, especially for Vogue -- talented, smart, gorgeous and elegant. I'm still cringing at the thought of Ashlee Simpson possibly being featured inside the pages of Vogue. She was, after all, snapped by paparazzi leaving a Conde Nast photo shoot in Beverly Hills. There hasn't been much update on that so I'm going to believe that it will never happen and now I digress. Cate was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the December 2009 issue of Vogue US. The Australian actress is wearing a gold Donna Karan gown on the cover and she's in Armani Prive, Oscar de la Renta and Valentino for the rest of the editorial. Cate also is interviewed for the issue. When asked about her career choices she said, "I’m not very cautious or careful. It’s always been more about having a variety of experiences than any planned trajectory." She talked about her family too. “When the boys aren’t playing with friends, they can usually be found playing backstage," she said.
