new york - i had to add 'incase you care' because lord knows i don't. this label has zero appeal to me. i think ms. burch and the whole crew got over on a cute logo that all the new york girls went crazy over. i saw her flats emblazoned with the bold t/b logo all summer and spring, and wondered each time why someone would pay $185 for them. in all fairness, my uber fabulous aunt owns about three pairs of burch's flats and makes them look good every time. but she's the rare exception. and i know even she agrees that its much better to put your coins towards chanel flats as i did....but i digress...the sale is in new york city, no specific location listed, so email the contact. so sorry if you are not based in the big apple....also, i see its not open to the public. but since as a blaynista you are by default an uber-fashion-insider, you don't count as public do you? just cut and paste the message below into word and print out. but don't say i told you!

new york - okay, so before i begin, lets please reflect on the power of the sample sale. these special sales, where editors and fashion industry types get a chance to buy high end/luxury goods for up to 80% are nothing but a god send. case in point: ysl's sample sale. assuming you work in fashion/media in new york city, you know about the one that went down this summer. ( i bought a tribute tote for $100 which originally cost $1600). but do you know about the super secret incognito one which just happened last week? there was no flyer, no email, nada. what was there? a discreet phone call to certain editors asking them to come to the ysl office and go off! there's good reason for all the hush hush. from what i hear - i never got the call and besides...i'm in london - the prices were insane. my source tells me that there was a $10 rack of clothes and best of all, amazing shoes like this military pump (which is AT STORES NOW and on sale online) cost only $75. it originally retailed at $459. i know. i feel just how you feel. congrats to my editor friend who snagged this sexy pair and was kind enough to send us an email sharing. or was she gloating? either way, me and the blaynistas love you and your shoes! xo, zb
