KATE MOSS & TOPSHOP TEAM UP AGAIN
Making it the eleventh collection the supermodel and the British clothing store have worked together on, when the Fall collection comes out on August 31st.

www - i'm not at all surprised topshop has worked with kate moss not once or twice but now eleven times. it has been a successful partnership and that partnership continues to grow with their upcoming fall collection. so what's the inspiration behind their latest collaboration? the grunge look and if there's anyone who i want to be taking style tips on how to wear this look it has to be from moss, right? (or courtney love but you take your pick.) the supermodel tells times uk that "this season's grunge is all about being creative about how you put your look together, and not necessarily spending a fortune. it's about being a little bit surprising and very creative. i love the glamour of adding some vintage to my look, and have done for years, as it keeps things original." the glamour that moss speaks of definitely shows from the pieces and the photos promoting the collection. here's more for your eyes to feast on:
ITALIAN VOGUE'S COUTURE SUPPLEMENT
Rihanna i adore you.. but are you gonna run the town tonight or grace italian vogue or pick up the mic again? im confuseditaly- rihanna looks incredible.. like a power bitch out of the 80's wearing valentino. everyone doesnt seem to agree
IAMGREEN said. "she does look amazing. drat. she doesn't deserve the honour. wonder if somewhere naomi campbell is plotting..." and
and FAHRA said "Not the best cover, but i love the fact that she is on it!" well heres what i say. shes gorgeous, fabulous we get it.
but does she deserve to be on the cover of italian vogue. just a few months ago anna wintour annouced that rihanna would never grace
the american book, now here she is on a september cover of italian vogue. i subscribe to the belief that models should be models and singers
should be singers. point black

THEY ARE REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS FASHION'S NIGHT OUT THING: THE PSA LAUNCHES
Puff Daddy, The Olsen Twins, Vera Wang, Sarah Jessica Parker, and even Anna Wintour herself, join others in wearing t-shirts and talking Fashions Night Out in the latest PSA.
new york - really though? in case you aren't familiar with it: fashion's night out is a multinational offensive launched - allegedly - by vogue america's editirix anna wintour. the point and purpose of this large scale event is to to simaltaneously host dozens - if not hundreds - of parties in each city. from a cafe in the catherine malandrino store to an exhibit helmed by grace coddington at prada, the events are meant to attract fashion industry professionals and consumers alike. at the end of the night the expectation is lots of camradrie and hopefully lots of cash as people pony up to buy products.
but as gawker.com reports on their site today, "one night" won't help fashion or boost the lagging retail industry. what it will do - and has already - is raise wintour's profile to new heights. there have been no mentions of discounts so far, and i predict that it will achieve more gawking than shopping. but either way, fun times should be had by all.
to further outline the importance of fashion , and more to the point, fashions night out - the powers that be have put together this psa. check it out. thoughts?

OH TO BE A FLY ON THE WALL...
When Vogue Brazil staff discusses in its next meeting who allowed the August issue to be published with a misspelled name on the cover.brazil - yes, on the cover. of all things! and not just that, the misspelled name was referring to one of the well-known photographers of the second half of the 20th century in the fashion and advertising industry, who has worked for vogue, harper's bazaar, emanuel ungaro, coco chanel and gianni versace. whoever was responsible for this better run and hide because hell hath no furry like a group of fashion-obsessed and detail-oriented people in strict deadlines and possibly calorie intakes as well. oh by the way, it's guy bourdin not "guy bourdain" like anthony bourdain, the host of travel channel's food show anthony bourdain: no reservations. now that i think about it maybe this person was trying to send a subliminal message.Kristina Bustos[story and image via madeinbrazil]
ARE YOU READY FOR A FASHION RUMBLE?But before you start shelling out your money for the front row seat, it's not exactly what you think.hong kong - east coast vs. west coast. blood vs. crips. armani vs. chanel? fortunately for us there is no real animosity between the two international fashion labels, but that chanel dripping logo painted on the side of an armani boutique you see here is the doing of the french graffiti artist named zevs (pronounced as "zeus"). his reason wasn't to start a fashion war (thank goodness because we hate to pick a side) but to make a special announcement the night before his first solo show called "liquidated logos" at the statements art gallery in hong kong. zevs is known for his liquidation effect that gives a melting appearance, which is seen by his latest effort. the artist was arrested subsequently by local authorities and had to hand over his passport until his trial last week, and concerning with the chanel logo, he explained that he used water-based, children's paint, which makes it easy to remove. so do you think the hk$6.8 million the owner is asking for the clean-up of his armani boutique too much?Kristina Bustos[story and images via dazeddigital]
Fashion Without Fashions: W Magazine Explores Homelessness
W Magazine releases images of a homeless inspired photo shoot from its upcoming September Issue. We can't decide: Tacky or Tasteful?
usa - Leave it to a fashion magazine. In any other medium, exploring homelessness would mean in-depth interviews, following up with local politicians and including a quote or two from national charity organizations. For W Magazine: it meant draping models in tissue paper from Dior, paper bags from Prada and odds and ends from Chanel. The shoot, which was shot by Craig McDean and styled by Alex White, features model Sasha Pivovarova. W gets brownie points for an interesting concept and - per usual - beautiful imagery. But are we the only ones who think a chic twist on homelessness is in poor taste?

THE MAJOR FASHION MOMENT REVEALED: CHANEL, JORDAN, SESSILLEE
Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn and Sessilee Lopez Grace the September Cover of i-D.
london -a few months ago both chanel iman and jourdan dunn tweeted about a "major" moment in fashion and a surprise cover. that should have been clue enough for some fash insiders to guess. now the secret is out: the two young models, along with others: jourdan dunn and arlenis sosa will grace the cover of i.d magazines september issue. the iconic photo features all four girls with corset-inspired tops, figure hugging skirts, matching black gloves and shimmery makeup. it was shot in london by emma summerton and styled by i-d fashion director, edward enninful. besides featurig four of the hottest models of the moment on one cover, i.d's september issue is distinctive for yet another reason: it is the only, non-urban magazine to opt for women of color on its cover. kudos.
