paris - so when the legendary gabrielle "coco" chanel launched her label - one associated with grace and class and elegance - do you think she ever dreamed that a girl like lily allen would ever come to represent her life's work ----and be paid for it? alas, i digress....so the news of the day is: lilly allen is alleged to be the new face of chanel accessories for their autumn/winter 09 campaign. according to fashionista.com, kaiser karl himself has grown into a major fan of allen and hand picked her for the honor. to that end, allen has been spotted all over sporting chanel bags. personally, i don't get it. but it must lead to more sales at one point or another. are you as uninspired as i am about this? zandile blay
