new york - if barbara tfank's resort collection gave any hint of a recession it would only be in the form-fitting frocks that one could imagine meant a rationing of fabric - and quality fabrics at that. leading up to another collaboration with brit singer, adele, tfank's collection has an obvious focus on quality yet interestingly maintains a sense of accessibility through her use of optimistic pinks and lime yellows. like adele, the woman tfank designs for is proper without being prudish; confident, but not cocky. the collection itself is an array of investment pieces that would have been a hit in the sixties as i can imagine it will be in 2040. lottie ntim
