LIU WEN: FIRST ASIAN MODEL IN VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW
She is reported to walk the televised fashion show this year, which will air on December 1 on CBS.

World Wide Web - It's already confirmed that few of the Victoria's Secret Angels won't be walking this year in its fashion show. Karolina Kurkova just had a baby, Andriana Lima is still pregnant and Heidi Klum will host the show instead of walking the runway since she gave birth to her fourth child weeks ago. This leaves the company to look for other models to fill the roster before November 19, the day the models will walk in the fashion show. The Victoria's Secret nationwidewide model search is still going on with ten finalists already selected; one lucky model then will be chosen to walk with the Angels this year. But working models are also filling the remaining slots, such as Emanuela de Paula, Lindsay Ellingson, Candice Swanepoel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Chanel Iman. Now Chinese model Liu Wen is reported to be included in the lineup. She will be the first Asian model to take part in the Victoria's Secret fashion show. While I am very happy for Liu, I have to ask if Victoria's Secret didn't need models to fill the remaining slots this year, would they have ever picked an Asian model in the beginning? I mean the company has been doing fashion shows since 1995 and in 2001 the show made its broadcast television debut on ABC. All I'm saying is that there were many years that they could have had Asian models in the shows, but they never did until this year when they needed the models. And it seems to me that Liu's inclusion in the show was just an afterthought or maybe I'm thinking too much about this? [Story: The Cut]
