china + japan + u.s - in case my store opening posts excite you....valentino is set to open it's first store in china. the boutique will be located inside the peninsula palace hotel. plans are being made to launch a second one - a standalone store - this may.... tiffany's (where i hope to get my engagement ring from someday) is opening it's first in-store boutique in tokyo's matzusaka giza department store, and another in fukuoka's hakata daimaru store....last, but not least, dwellstudio is launching a new line exclusively for target. you can now purchase fashionable and affordable homewares under the trendy label.

VALENTINO'S NEW MENSWEAR DESIGNER

london -- ferruccio pozzoni has been named as the new chief designer for valentino's menswear arm. according to wgsn.com, he will work directly under valentino's creative director, allessandra facchinetti. he has a luxury pedigree worthy of his new title. brioni, prada and miu miu are all places he's worked in the past. he is already underway on the next mens collection which will show on january 19th in paris.

...stock trading in milan of the Valentino fashion house is still suspended, and has been since yesterday. no formal announcement has been made, but womens wear daily reports that according to insiders there appears to be an internal bidding war for the brand. stay tuned for details. this is juicy!
