i usually like to stay away from posts about major executives leaving/starting new jobs. afterall, if it's not about you or me, who cares? but this time we do. jane shepherdson, who worked as brand director for topshop (which blaynistas adore!) has jumped ship to work for Fair Trade Fashion, an "ethical, ecological fashion group," according to wgsn.com. she will be a product advisor and key member of their board. in my opinion this is yet another indicator of how huge ethical clothing, and the companies that support them, will be in the very near future.

hard core american fashionistas have already heard about topshop, the british retail chain that sells the most fashionable and best priced pieces on earth. (seriously).
