HIT OR MISS? ZANDILE IN GRAY HAIR + ME AND DAPHNE GUINESS + COLIN MCDOWELL

london - okaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy. if you don't have anything nice to say - find a diplomatic way to say it. these pics are from over a month ago when i decided to take a walk on the wild side and try gray hair. i've always, always wanted gray hair because it reminds me of my dad who has a shock of gray hair, and has had it since his early twenties. but mine didn't look so distinguished. i sorta felt like storm from x-men. so i did away with the super hero do. but should i bring it back!? the top photos are of me and fashion muse lulu guiness and legendary fashion writer colin mcdowell both of whom i interviewed at the fash fringe party. shout out to the wonderful alexandra who reps the event for sputnik.

I personally like you without any weave. I think you have a really pretty face and I think the hair upstages your natural beauty, I feel your personality could speak through the clothes and accessories, but I respect whatever you choose. Do you.

camille!!!! OMG!!!! you think i'm that pretty!!?? girl thanks so very much. but i've got typical black girl syndrome, been wearing weaves since fohevah so they are like second skin now. but i feel you on letting your face carry the day, a year or so back, i went totally bald and loved the look. but it's just not dramatic enough for the drag queen within. i need 34 inches flowing down my back lol!

I know the inner drag-queen can be VERY demanding. I've occasionally done funny things so mine could come roaring out.

Do you!!

hey Zandile, love reading ur blog as always! It never fails to be on point. Hot stuff!! I think you can bring the grey back but upgrade it with a jet black; basic colour 1 or even blue black as the base/main colour, then cut in the shock of silver/grey in like two or three stategic places as highlights. But make it sublime and snappy, not obvious. Though the only obvious thing about you is that you're black and beautiful. This would have to look amazingly distinguished!!! This was a lace wig that you used though? I like the lean and length that you had going on, a lot! It added to your 'who's that girl vibe?' I think you have it (swagga) going on without the grey hair, standardly. Peace x
