FASHION NOTES

 

While Anna and Co. celebrated Fashion's Night Out on Thursday with Hollywood stars, here's what else is going on inside and outside Fashion Week:

 

  

1. Michael Angel was one of the designers who kicked off Fashion Week at Bryant Park with a 9.am show. I'm sure the beautiful collection made up for the early wake-up. [Fashionista]

 

2. Christopher Kane opted for a video presentation to show his Topshop collection. His line hits stores next Friday, September 18th. [NY Mag]

 

3. If you haven't heard by now Kate Moss stormed off at the British GQ Men of the Year Awards held in London after the host made a joke about her past GQ cover. She was caught on camera interrupting an interview of Best Solo Artist winner Dizzee Rascal after he won. He had some few words to say about that of course. Oh sweet Kate. [Telegraph UK]

 

4. Designer Philip Lim showcased his 3.1 Philip Lim Men's Presentation at 531 West 25th. According to the designer, his collection was inspired by the Beatnik movement. [Racked]

 

5. Tom Ford keeps his lips sealed about his directorial debut A Single Man, "forgoing interviews, press screenings and, perhaps most notable of all, advance sales." His project premieres today at the Venice Film. [Fashionologie.com]  

 

6. R13 is vying for your hearts, a brand specializing in jeans that are produced from Turkish denim in Italy. The label gives skinny jeans and straight-legs a sleek look and even brings harem style into the mix. [Style]

 

7. H&M gets us ready for those cold Autumn days as the retail brand launches their Fall 2009 ad campaign featuring the gorgeous Karen Elson, complete with falling leaves. [Nitrolicious]
