FASHION WEEK ROUNDUP

quick look at few shows that happened yesterday, starring Jason Wu, Nicole Miller and Erin Wasson.

 1. Jason Wu's Spring 2010 collection was a refreshing change of pace from the neutral-colored, fresh-faced shows we've been seeing a lot during the start of Fashion Week. Wu brought in drama into his line in the form of dresses mostly in deep shades of mustard, fuchsia and violet with few light-colored dresses here and there. The plum-lipped models wearing black headpieces added some more dramatic flair into the show, and the ballroom at the St. Regis Hotel was just the right venue to present his vibrantly-colored collection. 2. It was a grey day at the ocean for Nicole Miller's Spring 2010 collection as the color grey dominated her ocean-inspired runway show. "Riptides" were used as patterns on some of her black, white, grey and silver dresses while other dresses were adorned with silver sequins evoking the imagery of fish scales. Scuba-like pieces continued on with the "ocean current" theme but it was a cobalt blue dress that stood out the most from the collection.  [coutorture.com]
