The prolific fashion photographer passed away at the age of 92.
New York - Mr. Irving Penn, born in 1917, died on Wednesday at his home in Manhattan. He began working for Vogue in 1943, and his time working for the publication lead to "radical transformations in fashion and its depiction." Today Penn is remembered as "one of the 20th century's most prolific and influential photographers of fashion and the famous, whose signature blend of classical elegance and cool minimalism was recognizable to magazine readers and museumgoers worldwide." Our deepest condolences to the Penn family. [New York Times]
