usa - omg! so really in my world fashion week IS "superbowl." but with the giants and the patriots facing off, even i had to pay attention. i am only a sportsnista because my boyfriend loves football ( i know! so typical!). he loves the patriots, so i decided to root for the underdogs. but i never thought they would win! little did i know. they did it up last night, with the help of my fellow syracuse graduate david tyree. loved the game. and sorta loved alecia's animal print pants.

usa - so despite her recently announced move to rehab, eva mendes is still a wanted woman. calvin kline has announced that she will be the face of their latest fragrance. the company is making no move to drop her as a spokeswoman in the wake of her self-admitted "substance abuse." that's admirable of the company. i'm happy for mendes, but i've got to say, i never saw that one coming. never in a hundred years would i have pegged her as a substance abuser. but i guess there's no "look" is there?

new york - fabulous paparazzi photos have already started flooding the internet and this is hands down, one of my most favorite ones. i simply adore andre 3000's sense of style. i think he allows himself a measure of freedom and ease with his clothing that most men don't. he doesn't shy away from shocking looks, but he doesn't define himself by them either. another thing which helps with style: a really fit body. he's kept his form in shape for years. if i werent' already in love, i'd be tempted to be a stalker.

new york - so the news here is that the marc jacobs and louis vuitton documentary which we mentioned a while back, finally debuted in new york last week. jacobs' looks fabulous. and kimberly looks...mysterious.

world wide - trace magazine. i can't say it was ever on my must read list. perfect lovely publication, but i restrict my reads to: vogue u.s, vogue u.k, vanity fair, vibe, w and now monocle. (there's something about consonants in my world, huh?) that said, i must say that i've always loved trace for it's annual "black girls rule," issue. such a bold and loving and affirming statements and the issues are equally beautiful. the above is not that - though at first glance you would think so. instead it's their 'true beauty' issue - and boy, is it ever. it's just breathtaking!

new york - was beyonce giving us a hint with her hit song, "get me bodied!?" in the lyrics she commands that women "shake their derriers in the house of dereon." we thought she was referring to their denims or prom dresses - but she just might have meant underwear! according to womens wear daily, beyonce and her momma, tina have just inked a two-year licensing deal for undergarments and legwear.
