VERSACE REVEALS VERSUS LINE

The revived Versace line features short dresses and safety pins.

Milan - We all remember the Versace "safety pin dress" worn by Elizabeth Hurley on the red carpet at the 1994 London premier of Four Weddings and a Funeral with her then-boyfriend, Hugh Grant. Well, we can have our own version of it through Donatetlla Versace's revived lower-priced Versus line. The collection, designed by British designer Chrisopher Kane, was revealed last Sunday, Sept. 27, during Milan Fashion Week. Kane designed his own version of "the safety pin dress" by turning the safety pins into multi-colored embellishment for dresses and shoes. One of his dresses featured cut-out sleeves hanging by straps held by safety-pins. The collection, which kept in mind the style of Gianni Versace, included mini dresses in black, khaki, and red with lace inserts and bustiers. Now speaking of the Versaces, Donatella and her daughter Allegra were spotted at Giannino on Via Vittor Pisan on Sunday.

JUST HAD TO SHARE: FAST FOOD NAIL-TION

Ghetto nails with a touch of Trailer Park.

USA (Where else really?) - J'adore these nails right here. I spotted them on one of my fave sites, Buzzfeed and there's no further info. But fortunately, pictures say a thousand words. I can't interpret any at the moment though as I'm left speechless. Only thing I will say is, seriously, if I had the coins, I would get these ASAP! What say you my Blaynista? WE LUST THIS: LESPORTSAC'S SPECIAL EDITION PAPER MAGAZINE BAG

The legendary magazine (where yours truly is a fashion editor) celebrates it's 25th anniversary with a LeSportsac Bag.

New York
- From a star studded fashion party (Kanye and Amber, Betsey Johnson, Queen Latifah and a bevy of Vogue Editors among others) at the New York Public Library to a private dinner for Paper staff, one of New York's favorite - and true indie - publication, Paper Magazine celebrated it's 25th anniversary with a bang. But no commemoration of the anniversary was better than this: their collaboration with LeSportsac to create a special edition anniversary bag. It features a matching coin purse, a fun tromp d'leil of a pocket with an iphone sticking out and my fave: hot pink lining. It will run you $58 and comes with a free subscription to the book! Talk about value for the dollar. Get your right now at

BLAYNISTAS! GET INTO MY LATEST HUFFPO STORY: CHANTAL BIYA FOR FOR FASHION ICON

The First Lady of Cameroon is serving some serious fashion spice.

New York/Cameroon: Chantal Biya: the name alone is a clue to her legendary status. I did a quick wrap on exactly why she gives M.Obama a run for her money and one of my fave fashion blogs, New York Magazine's The Cut, totally agrees. Get into the story here.

MILAN FASHION WEEK SPRING 2010

Milan - The Spring 2010 Milan Fashion Week ended on Saturday, Sept. 26, with collections from Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Alberta Ferretti, Emilio Pucci, Versace and many more talented Italian designers making it down the runway. Here's a quick roundup of few runway shows during Milan Fashion Week.

Dolce & Gabbana brought "sensuality" back as its Spring 2010 collection included lots of black lace, short dresses, black netting and mesh, and corsets.  "[The collection] is sexy, but not too sexy. . . . We're talking about sensuality," said Domenico Dolce.

Leave it to the Versace Spring 2010 runway show to present us sexy silhouettes. Flowing gowns in soft shades featured cutouts and high slits, while mini dresses featured metallic detailing.

Alberta Ferretti

Alberta Ferretti showed her love for romantic as chiffon dresses in muted pastels in light roses, ivories and lilacs and flower embroidery were the main features of her Spring 2010 runway show. The show was staged in a steamy room as opera music played on while the models marched down the runway.

Christina Ortiz showed her last collection for the fashion house. Dresses in zesty colors like lemon, watermelon and cherry were the highlights of her Spring 2010 collection as the shoes also stood out from the show.

TO MANTYHOSE OR NOT TO MANTYHOSE...

That is the question Selfridges seems to be asking with its latest men's offering of tights.

London - Mantyhose, you know the kind you often see worn by actors in Renaissance fairs, ballet dancers, and Superman, has gone mainstream. High end department store Selfridges is offering men's tights designed by lingerie brand Unconditional, and they come in black, beige, and charcoal. Selfridge's menswear director David Walker-Smith expects the trend to become a "true style statement" for men. "The 'mantyhose' are extremely versatile and we expect men to be wearing them not only as a way to give legs an extra boost of warmth on the chilliest nights, but as a true style statement," he says. Honestly, I think the success of "mantyhose" depends on the locations - for example Tokyo, Japan. The city is known for its unique street fashion and somehow Japanese males just seem, in the wise words of Tim Gunn, to "make it work" with this "mantyhose" business. When worn on the streets of New York or London, I think "mantyhose" loses the appeal that Japanese males seem to bring out with the trend. But you know what? If you're a male from New York, London or outside Japan and you want to wear tights under your shorts or trousers, then go on with yo' bad self. Who am I to stop you from being adventurous with your fashion? I am, however, curious to hear what Mr. Gunn have to say about this. [Story via The Cut
