IRAN SAYS NO TO BENETTON

tehran, iran-- there's a style struggle in iran as we speak. the government is trying mightily to enforce islamic dress for women in the country and to that end has been issuing "thousands of warnings in recent years," according to wgsn. now benetton, the italian luxe line known for it's emphasis on diversity and multi-culturalism, looks to be paying the price. members of parliament in iran are calling for the stores to be shut down through out the country, arguing that it has a "negative influence on female consumers." interesting.
