dubai - karl lagerfeld (right) is the hardest working senior citizen on earth (besides john mccain) and i mean that in the nicest and most respectful way. in addition to design directing chanel, fendi, his name sake label and various book and editorial projects, lagerfeld is now an architect. sort of. isla moda (you've heard of it, haven't you? it's the man made "fashion island" (second pic, below)being developed in dubai. think of it as a fashion-disneyland/luxury gated residential community). according to dubai inifinity holdings, which is managing the project, lagerfeld will be designing 80 residential homes for around $15 to $50 million dollars u.s.d a year.
